Angola has a wide variety of natural resources. The diamond mining and oil extraction, for example, provide large revenues to the country. The beauties of nature, of course, also generate money through tourism.

The savannah is the predominant biome in the Angola area. In wooded savannah Zambezi Teak (Southwest), live 160 species of mammals and 350 species of birds. In this region it is possible to find large animals like the African elephant, giraffe, lion and rhinoceros.

The African nation also has mountainous regions, high plateaus and mountain ranges. The highest peak is the Morro de Moco, which reaches an elevation of 2,620 meters above sea level. This mountain is located in the province Huambo and is the main challenge that the country can be found in travelers who wish to practice climbing.

Forests

The jungle has been present in northern Angola and the region of Cabinda, a province surrounded by the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo. In the high temperature characteristic of the country is short, in these areas, significant levels of moisture allows the growth of lush vegetation. The Equatorial Atlantic coastal forest, which stretches across six countries, is one of the types of forest present in Angola. The forest-savanna mosaic of southern Congo, mosaic of forest and mountain meadow Angola and Zambezi dry forest can also enjoy the surrounding jungle.

Deserts

Angolan Southwest is noted for its desert areas. The Namib Desert is considered one of the oldest in the world, since they would have formed more than 65 million years. This region is characterized by extreme temperature variations and the occurrence of frost during the winter. At the northern Namib appears Kaoka Desert. They live elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions and foxes, especially in areas that offer more vegetation and less rigorous environmental conditions. Finally the wooded savannah of Namibia also is part of the desert areas despite displaying various species of flora.

Beaches

The Angolan coast has many attractions for tourists. Luanda, the capital of Angola  is developed in a bay and offers just a few miles from downtown, beaches that are ideal for swimming and enjoy the sand. Ilhia is one of them. Those seeking peace of mind can visit the beach Palmeirinhas, 45 kilometers from Luanda. In Benguela there are beaches and rocky cliffs Baia Azul, KAOTAR and Kaotinha. North of the country, outstanding beaches N’Zeto. The Mussulo Island, famous for its warm waters and to offer every comfort the visitor, is another must for the tourists beachgoers.
